This is the personal website of Julian Jessop, where you can find my blog posts, a brief biography and contact details.
I’m an independent economist with over thirty years of experience gained in the public sector, the City and consultancy. I have a wide range of interests, including UK and global economics, fiscal and monetary policy, health economics, labour markets, poverty and inequality, and asset pricing.
I now work mainly on a ‘pro bono’ basis with think tanks and educational charities, including schools and universities. Most of what I do is therefore unpaid.
I also still earn some income from consultancy (mainly by advising investment committees) and from writing, presenting and speaking engagements. I’m a regular on TV and radio.
There is more in the about me section of this site.
