This is the personal website of Julian Jessop, where you can find my blog posts, a brief biography, and contact page.
I’m an independent economist with thirty-five years of experience gained in the public sector, the City and consultancy. I have a wide range of interests, including:
- UK and global economics and statistics
- Fiscal and monetary policy
- Health economics
- Labour markets
- Poverty and inequality
- Environmental economics
- Asset pricing
I now work mainly on a ‘pro bono’ basis with think tanks and educational charities, including schools and universities. Most of what I do is therefore unpaid (including all my work with the IEA and Speakers for Schools), although I still earn some income from providing economic advice to investment committees and from writing and presenting.
