Welcome

This is the personal website of Julian Jessop, where you can find my blog posts, a full biography, and contact page.

I’m an independent economist with over thirty-five years of experience gained in the public sector, the City and consultancy. My interests include:

  • UK and global economics and statistics
  • Fiscal and monetary policy
  • Health economics, especially care in old age
  • Labour markets
  • Poverty and inequality
  • Environmental economics
  • Asset pricing

All my educational, policy and social media activities are unpaid, including everything I do for the IEA, Speakers for Schools, the Geller Commission, and the RSA, although I still earn some income from providing economic advice to investment committees and from writing and presenting.

You can sign up to be notified by email when I post a new blog by clicking the ‘follow’ button on this page.
